Sledding!!!

Last Monday we had a 2 hour delay to school because of snow and icy roads. I didn't tell the kids until they had totally gotten ready--then I surprised them and took them sledding.
Much better than when they know they have 2 extra hours to they do nothing to get ready in the morning and end up being late to school :)
Ty pulling Miya up the hill.
Miya loves the snow! Notice the frozen snot on her face AND the smile.
Even when we hit the powder drifts going down, she didn't even cry.
That's my Wisconsin gal!
Notice the frozen trees--not fun driving conditions
The triple-stacker. Not for the wimpy sledders. I would not want to be the one on the bottom.
Ty took this picture of me when we got back in the car--I laughed my head off. I am a true snow-beast. (My hair is not really that gray--it really is snow and frost)

Almost a snow day...

It's -24 degrees outside. And the kids have 2 extra hours off of school this morning before they have to brave the weather. Brrrrrrrr.....

I don't think I'll be going anywhere today-hopefully I'll have time to post some Christmas pictures later. Stay warm!

Snow days

December was the snowiest one in history here. I think we got 36". I guess if we are going to have a lot of snow, we might as well go for the gold and break the record. The kids loved it!

Grant--king of the snow mountain!

It was also very, very cold. We hung out in the single digits for quite a while.

This was the view from our deck.
Longing for summer bbq's about now...
