Funny Friday

Now that is funny!

soccer season

We are being so blessed--3 kids in soccer and only 2 nights at the soccer field a week. 

Now that is good karma.

 Grant was so excited and nervous for his very first night of soccer. 

It was so fun to watch him run around kicking the ball.

He even volunteered to be the "Goofy Says" caller.

Afterwards he said, "I thought it was going to be a lot harder, that they'd make us do drills and stuff. Instead we just played games."

me: "Yeah, but you are still learning playing the games."

Grant: (incredulously) "I am??!! That is amazing!"

 Miya loved sitting in her little chair and running around picking dandelions 

 Garrett loved it, too. Go red team!

They are on the traveling team--first game on Thursday.

And Ty was running all over the field with his buddies playing lacrosse, football and soccer, so I didn't get a photo of him :)

I'm back...maybe

Well, I couldn't sleep this morning, so here I am at 5:30 feeling guilty about neglecting my blog. Or shall I say sorely neglecting my blog. It seems that the more I have to blog about, the less I do because things are so busy.

So, all excuses aside, I'm going to try and post some pictures and catch-up a little. Why not start with the stake dance Tyler and I attended last weekend :) It was like we were 14 again! I wasn't that excited going into it, but we had a GREAT time--dancing the Cotton-Eye Joe and trying to remember how to swing dance.

Tribute to Grandpa

My Grandpa Wagner passed away in his sleep on Tuesday, March 6th, 2012. He was 98 years old. I miss him but am so happy for him that he gets to move on to the next life and be reunited with his family and loved ones. It is such a happy sad feeling I have. He was such a great man--so kind-hearted and loving, and his family was his world. How he loved his family!

Standing with my Aunt Audrey's old pink Schwinn that Grandpa rode faithfully everyday until he was over 95. When family wanted to buy him a new bike for his birthday, he said, "Why would you want to do that, I already have a bike!" 

Grandpa and Mary--his girlfriend who passed away 3 years ago. They were such a great couple and loved to go ballroom dancing together and play golf. They stayed so active that they really couldn't get old.

I will forever remember camping in Yellowstone with you, listening to you tell stories about WWII and being scared to death, loving being tickled by your tickle finger, thinking you were magic when you would make the train-whistle noise, talking on the phone and always feeling your love even though we lived far away, your bumper sticker that read, "Happiness is Dancing at Zavadas," the way you were so upset at the amusement park Lagoon when I chipped my front tooth on a ride and so concerned for me, and the good example you've always set of putting family first and truly living life.

Sledding!!!

 Last Monday we had a 2 hour delay to school because of snow and icy roads. I didn't tell the kids until they had totally gotten ready--then I surprised them and took them sledding.

Much better than when they know they have 2 extra hours to they do nothing to get ready in the morning and end up being late to school :)
